While a tutorial will help make that less necessary, tutorials can't (And don't) do all the heavy lifting of learning on their own, and the atlantic area is meant to help that along, while the alternate biomes are there to try and mix things up for more experienced players. Nate does hit on a good point here (And one of the biggest reasons atlantic is made common, and in future, likely the GUARANTEED first biome for first-timers) in that atlantic, in both theme and mechanics, is the easiest for new players to learn the game through. Realize I haven't properly responded to this yet whoops! Anyway, thanks for listing your concerns/preferences about each biome in detail! There's a lot to chew on here, and while some of this reads to me as preferential theming (I see you're a big horror fan like myself :P) the environmental/enemy variety are totally things that can be improved on, so thanks for noting your problems in those areas. Good biome, and can only furthur improve, from it's near perfect mark. Boss, check (although I'd like the idea from my hive rework thread to be implemented). In this biome, remove the asset of your sub taking damage when hitting walls, to increase the wall's spongy feel. Secondly, the wall's textures are nice, but I'd like a more SPONGY feel. My favorite biome, in the whole game, are the infected depths. This rank, is only a matter of my personal preference.ħ. But, you don't have to change it at all, since you already stated that you liked it the way it is. After the update, it lossed what I loved. Love the dark water, the ghost fish, clams, and music (although, you could make it a song, similiar to the song that plays after you beat the boss), and the incredibly eerie feeling. This biome, would've been my number one spot, but is number two, cause of the update. I love the inside of the sub, in this biome, when it gets chaotic. BTW, change the name to something about plants, biome. But those, are ways to make it even better than it already is. The color of the water, and the enviroment, is pretty cool. This spot, goes to the prehistoric waters. Seriously, the only bad thing, other the previously listed things, is the lack of enemys. Add more envireomental effects, make the hot water do more damage, and add more enemys. Music cool, envireoment is cool, but still needs change. They provide the best moments in the whole game. Textures on walls need change, music could be more eerie, and make use of that darkness and lights. But, after that, it quickly becomes a dark atlantic waters. The first time I saw the normal anglefishes light, I told the driver "Oooohhhh! Follow the fireflys! Maybe they'll lead us to a cave!". Like in the hot waters, make players take damage from the water, because it's "too cold".ģ. This could go from my second least favorite biome, to second favorite, if you added more enviroment to it. They look like the Atlantic's textures, which isn't okay. The icebergs won't cut it, and try to decorate the wall's textures. It doesn't help the message, that it's "cold", get through. Good music, okay enviroment, but could still use help. Putting the most repetitive biome, as the first, is pretty ironic.Ģ. It doesn't provide any excitement, and the music could use some help. You don't get that eerie feel from it, that the prehistoric waters, the frozen waters, and the cursed waters provide. Thirdly, unlike the other biomes, it doesn't have any wall hazards. Secondly, the walls, the water, it's a bit too generic. Firstly, the 8 unique enemys, isn't going to cut it.
